Add up your income log. Add up the deposits on the statement. They should match. Do the same for expenses and withdrawals. When they don't, the difference is nearly always one of three things: a transaction you skipped, one you entered twice, or a personal purchase on the business card.
Find it and fix it before you move on. A log that's off by forty dollars in January is off by an unknowable amount by December. |
